Our university’s Campus Town Project Group opened the 4th industrial revolution “coding world” education program for multicultural families.

On May 11 at the Sookmyung Women's University Campus Town’s base center located on the 4th floor of Yongsan ETLand, the first 4th industrial revolution “coding world” class had opened. It was participated by officials such as our university’s Campus Town General Manager Jong-suk Cho, Team Leader Ha-bong Cheon, Professor Isoda Hideki, Professor Yeong-min Park, and Hope Kids Representative Jeong-suk Park, and 5th and 6th elementary students and their parents.

This educational program allows both the elementary students and their parents of multicultural background to learn coding technology that uses Arduino technology. The lecture is personally conducted by Professor Yeong-min Park and Professor Isoda Hideki, and the class is held for a total of 4 weeks. The program enables the participants to learn coding through actual sight and touch by using the Arduino kit. Our university’s Campus Town Project Group expects to foster the global frontier that can lead the 4th industrial revolution through this coding school program. Team Leader Ha-bong Cheon announced, “I hope this educational program of Sookmyung Women's University’s Campus Town can become an opportunity for the students to become more familiar with coding and hope the Yongsan District can become a stage for the students to lead this age of the 4th industrial revolution.”
